The last four play-off until there are eight (four in each conference). Over the following two weeks, the teams will have selected their champions and those two teams will square off at the Memorial Field, New Jorg on 5th March 2017.

Who do you think will make it to the big show on 5 March? C’mon who ya picking?

Brooks out for two weeks as a precaution

Landor Knights | Elijah Brooks

The Landor Knights have confirmed that star quarterback Elijah Brooks will be rested for the next two weeks, as a precaution for the concussion he suffered on Sunday.

With the team 16-0 and guaranteed home advantage for the play-offs, Elijah will be rested for both games, not just the one that he has to miss due to the PFL concussion protocol.

History is made: Knights go 16-0

It wasn’t pretty but the Landor Knights made history last night with their 17-16 victory over the Melborg Giants in a snowy and icy Melborg.

Elijah Brooks struggled for three quarters (5/15, 76 yrds, 1TD 1 INT) and was then KNOCKED OUT of the game. HE suffered a concussion and will not play in next weeks game. PFL Officials confirmed it was a legal hit by Leon Stanley that took Brooks out of the game.

Ryan McKenzie ran for 184 yards on a night that defences dominated, causing four turnovers apiece. Giants’ QB Chase Hand was up against a tought pass defence and struggled even more than Brooks did ( 10/24, 108 yards, 0 TD, 3 INT).

Like we said, it wasn’t pretty, but it was effective. The Knights have made history as the first team in PFL history to win their first sixteen matches. Whether they attempt to go all out for 18-0 (especially without Brooks) is the next question.

The quest for 16-0, Tonight!

PFL Records | Landor Knights

Never in the history of Eborian Football has a team won all sixteen out of their opening games. Tonight, travelling on the road to divisional rivals Melborg Giants, the Landor Knights can make PFL and Eborian football history. Can history be made, or will th eGiants be bad party hosts and bring an end to this ‘invincible team’ story?

Trailing 23-28 with just 11 seconds remaining, Miners QB Brandon Mullen found Anchor Avery Lewis wide-open following the ‘greatest play-fake, ever!’ according to their coach .Jake McDonald. It was a heartbreaking defeat for the Sharks, and one that leaves them vulnerable for the play-offs now. Sharks QB Trent Harris had dissected the Miners defence in the first half, torching them for 163 yards and  three touchdowns. The Sharks’ kicker, Bruce McGwire missed two second-half field goal attempts that would likely have been enough to put the game out of the Miners’ reach in the fourth quarter. UFB: In-VIN-cible Rocks run ruin over Rams

Champions Bowl Game 2017 | Honey Bowl Stadium | 7 Jan 2017

The O’Connell Shamrocks cruised to victory in the Champions Bowl, beating the University of Stamford Rams 41-13 on Saturday night. The Rams defence was exposed, with Junior QB Kendall Clark throwing for 287 yards, four touchdowns and Jamarcus Jones gained 172 yards on the ground (and one TD).

The Star of the show was the O’Connell defence, who really took their number 5 ranking to heart- as a huge insult. Led by their beastly frontman, End Vin Marshall. Marshall’s commanding display earned him Player of the Game Honours- with three QB Marks and a forced fumble- he disrupted the Rams attack all day. The Rams only got their touchdown once Marshall was being rested as the reserve defenders were mainly in there. The O’Connell defence forced six turnovers as outgoing senior QB Dre Nalen had a night to forget.

Vin Marshall stole the show and will be the odds-on-favourite for the number one pick in the draft, based on the play-off showings.

Eagles Fire Coach Walsh

The Eregon Eagles have fired Head Coach Ed Walsh. The Eagles have a 2-13 record, with little to play for, other than respect. So, last nights 34-0 drubbing at the hands of divisional rival Caligara Bulldogs on Friday Night Football was too much to take.

Reports suggest the Walsh knew that the writing was on the wall for him, he leaves the team in a worse shape than he started them with. Walsh, who’s real expertise was in University Football was in his first Head Coaching position in the Pros. He may either think about returning to the University game and/or dusting off his defensive play book and trying out as a co-ordinator again.
