Crystal Bowl

The ultimate prize is the Crystal Bowl, the PFL championship game.

The current champions are the Caligara Bulldogs, beating the Chakota Wasps 25-24 in CB50.

Held at the beginning of March each year, the path to the crystal bowl, follows 18 games in 20 weeks (regular season), followed by the top eight teams* playing out the Crystal Bowl tournament. The three divisional champions in each conference qualify- along with the two best other teams. It’s knockout football, the conference champions meet in the Crystal Bowl.

The tournament and Championship is named after the late Commissioner of the PFL, Robert ‘Bob’ Crystal. Bob Crystal was a legendary leader and helped give rise to the PFL that we all love today. It seems fitting that this visionary man is held close to our hearts as he is honoured each year when the PFL Championship is decided.

Crystal Bowl I was held way back in 1971. We’ve seen a lot happen over the next 45+ years! Here’s to more Crystal Bowl Moments!
