Eregon Eagles | Hallas Stars | San Angelo Miners | St. George Sharks
The PFL West is really the wild-wild west! A traditional power house of a division. Even though the Caligara Bulldogs have moved out- there’s a lot of great a talent left here, with Hallas losing Crystal Bowl XLVII, having previously beaten the Wasps in XLII and the Miners winning XLV. Also, the Eregon Eagles won CB XLI, before getting caught up in ‘Wagergate’!
The Eregon Eagles are one of the oldest teams in Eborian Football history. Recent success was undermined by a Salary Cap scandal that broke out in 2012, forcing the team on a 5 year probation. Rely on a tough defence and home-field advantage, where being the only North West team in the division (now that Caligara have gone) means the cold, wet and windy December and January divisional games will be feared by their rivals.
The Hallas Stars were formed in the 1970s by the entrepreneur Gerry Starr (of Starr Cars). They have been a formidable opponent on and off the field in the PFL. They raised the bar in stadium experiences in Eboria, when they opened the futuristic StarDome in 1981. in 2013, StarDome 2.0 opened, again raising the standards. Future Hall of Legend Quarterback Drew Williams lead a phenomenal passing attack- with sensational wideout Amani Sanders, since he retired Chase Hand has taken over.
The Miners started off as the Coalminers of Deloinne in the 1940s, being seen as a roughhouse team in a working class district. They collapsed when the EFL folded in 1949. The team were brought back fully, some twenty years later when they entered the PFL. They were known simply as the Deloinne Miners and officially do not carry the old Coalminers’ team history and legacy.
In 1981 they relocated to the southwestern City of San Angelo. A new breed of Miners fan developed and they are finally seeing great results and seeing a high-flying passing attack.
The Sharks started off their life in the northwestern city of Seafax in Wichagan in 1988. This is where there deep-seated rivalries with the Eagles and Bulldogs are founded, when they were local rivals. Following some funding problems by the team founder, the team was sold and relocated to St. George in Roberta in 1994. The Sharks have won two Crystal Bowls.
