Teams

There are twenty-four teams that make up the PFL, since 2002 they’ve been divided into two conferences; The Atlantic and National. Both conferences have three divisions of four teams.

The eighteen game schedule is played out over twenty weeks. Each team plays everyone in their division twice (home and away) and everyone else in their conference once. There are four inter-conference games, where teams play the teams in one division of a conference each season. The complete cycle of games where every team has played each other twice (home and away) takes six years. For intra-conference games this is every two years.
