The Ballymore Tigers players and coaches have lined up to take the blame for yesterday’s loss. Team captains and coaches have pointed out mistakes to make sure that kicker Todd Lovell, who missed a second quarter field goal, was not left high and dry as the guy that lost them the championship:

“I think we made some mistakes on offence, I made some bad throws, missed blocks and fumbled, it’s not on Todd. We take this as a team. As team captain for the attck, this rests with me”
– QB Bo Mills.

“We gave up thirty points, plain and simple. 27 was good for our attack, but to give up thirty, we’re like ‘Damn!’ you can’t do that here. It cost us. Missed a few tackles and gave up to big drives early. We held them mostly for the rest, but we couldn’t stop them at the end. We have to do better next year.”
– DE/MF Sam Randall.

“It’s not about a missed kick, we gotta get in the end zone. We knew it was a tough ask to hold them to 27, we came back, we ran the ball so well, it just wasn’t enough. Deeply gutted with this loss. But we all hurt, we all gotta lick our wounds. One broken tackle or dropped ball is the difference when it come down to a field goal. I’m just sayin’… so tough to lose like this. Hurtin’ bad right now.”
– RB Tito Hawkins.

“We didn’t shut them down all day long. We tried, we did our best today. Some missed tackles, 50-50 calls going against us, we ain’t that defence you saw today. We’ve proved all year long we’re better than that. We gotta close, gotta finish. the pain of tonight is gonna drive us forward. We’re a better unit, we’ll be back, man”
-WB Anquan Adams.
