The defending champions are out- San Andreas lost their cool in the freeing, snowy, icy , Ballymore Tiger Field. In a game where the ground game was going to be crucial, Ballymore’s forwards controlled the Miners’ defensive line, allowing Tito Hawkins to run for over 150 yards.

Tied at ten at halftime, it looked like one mistake was going to be the difference. In the end, Avery Brown’s fourth quarter drop, with the team in field goal range, may have been the difference.

Controlling the ground and the game clock, Ballymore had chances to kill off the Miners, but couldn’t convert in crucial third down situations. QB Bo Mills scrambled short of the line, receivers dropped balls, etc.

San Andreas had one last chance, Brandon Mullen, who had been pressured all day by a relentless Tiger defence, couldn’t get them far enough into field goal range to attempt to even the game.
