The San Andreas Miners scored with 33 seconds remaining to knock out the number one seed Hallas Stars. Trailing 27-31, QB Brandon Mullen through up a long pass to winger Mitch McComas which broke the hearts of the home team. In a close encounter, both teams gained momentum and the game seemed destined to go down to the last few minutes. In the fourth Quarter the lead changed hands three times, with Drew Wiliams’ pass to Anchor Bob Lloyd giving the Stars the 31-27 lead with just two and a half minutes left.
Lamar Wilson ran for 103 yards off 26 carries and Chauncey Smith ran for 173 (25 carries). Drew Wilson passed for 395 yards (30/44) 4 TDs and one pick, Mullen was 19 of 35 for 333 yards, 3 TDs and 2 picks.
