Atlantic Conference:
ADELPHIA PHOENIX vs MORRIGAN GIANTS
Two divisional rivals, meeting for the third time this season. This one could be brutal. The Giants defence have a really good handle on what the Phoenix like to do with their Aerial assault to open up the ground game. With quick fast passes to the wingers, the Phoenix spread the field and try to leave gaps for the sublime Marshall Knight to pick through. The Giants are adept at closing both QB Kelly and Knight down. They will have to do so one more time to advance.
For the Giants attack, they need a good, solid game from the forwards. Winning the battle up front will allow the runners to gain yards each down and give time to Chase Hand to distribute the ball. The Phoenix use complicated blitz packages to disrupt the forwards pass blocking and the versatility of the midfielders is used to stunning effect. If this was in the outdoors, in freezing cold Morrigan, they would have the edge, but playing in Adelphia has to be the deciding factor here.
EDGE: Phoenix, by a field goal.

National Conference:
SAN ANDREAS MINERS vs ROCHESTER TROJANS
The defending champions, the Miners, have had another great season, with few weaknesses, especially in attack. Defence is the area of concern due to nagging injuries towards the end of the season. If the defence holds and the attack keeps the Trojans offence off the field- this should be easy. Only history shows this is easier said than done.
The Trojans are a balanced team, Quarterback Ryan Bruce is a fighter- he’ll go down swinging if he has to. It’s something that strikes as the core essence of this team. They keep on fighting. This weekend, they are going to have to. If they continue to outfight the Miners on all plays- they will out muscle and out hustle the Sunshine boys of San Andreas.
Last year they met in the Conference Semi’s, with a blowout game ending 49-45, this season’s game in Rochester ended 41-35 to the Miners. There should be a lot of points, so sit back and enjoy.
EDGE: Miners by a touchdown, in a shoot-out!
